I am a Japanese father of two children!
I will provide you with information when you visit Japan!
Please take a look at the information I have compiled for those with infants and children to enjoy with peace of mind!

Now, the new normal point this time!

“The Airport, the Monorail, and the Footbath.”

Let’s get right to the point this time!

Three ways to enjoy Haneda Airport!

Places to play with kids, stable places are fun, but sometimes you want a little change,

But sometimes you just want a little change, don’t you?

That’s when I recommend Haneda Airport!

Haneda Airport!

The night view is beautiful, but…….kids aren’t interested, right?

If you like airplanes, that’s fine, but we don’t….

You may think, “Well, it’s beautiful at night, but if your kids like airplanes, that’s fine, but not my family!

Here are the recommended flow and 3 points to consider!

(1) Enjoy Haneda Airport

(2) Enjoy the Tokyo Monorail

(3)Enjoy the footbath while viewing the night view

(1) Enjoy Haneda Airport

The main attraction is of course the airport!

I especially recommend Terminal 3 (International Terminal).

It’s the newest terminal and the monorail is a great way to get a feel of being next to the airport!

Just going to the international terminal makes you feel a little different!

There are two elements that I personally enjoy at the airport!

The observation deck

Enjoy watching planes take off and land on the observation deck!

Unfortunately, there is no Starbucks in the international terminal. I’m sorry, but there is no Starbucks in the international terminal……..

(If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I like Starbucks so much that I go there every morning.)

Well, that’s just my personal opinion.

Of course, you can take such nice pictures, enjoy the sound of engines taking off and landing, and enjoy the Tokyo sky!

Eat a meal! Tsurutontonton

Many stores were closed in Corona, but they have come back a lot!

And I think this is a good place to enjoy eating and drinking!

Especially, Tsurutontontan is back after a long closure (closed from April 2020 to December 2022)!

Udon noodles are great if you have kids!

There are also box seats so it’s easy to feed the kids!

The menu is also suitable for adults!

My overwhelming recommendation is

Kamatama udon noodles / thick noodles / 2.5 balls

Shabu-meat/Sudachi udon is also good!

(2) Enjoy the Tokyo Monorail

Monorail from Hamamatsucho to Haneda Airport.

I think it is no exaggeration to say that this is the main event for children!

Unlike a train, the monorail is a thrill that makes you feel as if you are going through the air!

The monorail runs at a very high speed and is quite bumpy!

Hamamatsucho is the first station, so if you wait, you can always sit in the front row!

And the front row, where you can see the driver’s seat of the first car, has a special seat in the center, which is very rare!

These seats are specially designed to enjoy the full view!

On a regular train, you have to stand up or carry your child in your arms to see what’s in front of you, which can be tiring for adults.

This seat is designed with parents in mind, so that they can sit in a chair and see the whole area!

It’s a great distance from the train!

Of course, the night view is beautiful at night!

It’s a fun time for adults too!

One thing to note is just be careful about the time of the ride!

When the sun goes down, the blinds in the driver’s seat are lowered to prevent reflection.

If the sun goes down, the blinds are lowered in the driver’s seat to prevent the reflection of the sun!

(3)Enjoy the footbath while viewing the night scenery!

Tenkubashi Station, the station next to Terminal 3 (International Terminal) Station

(Please note that only local trains stop at this station.)

There is a place called Innovation City directly connected to the station.

There is a footbath on the roof of the building called “Zone E”.

And it’s free!

It’s not a hot spring, but especially in winter season, you can soak your feet in the warm water and enjoy the night view of the airport.

Soothe your feet after a long day of fun and relaxation!

During the daytime, there are many other events at Innovation City, so there are a lot of people.

How about a night view of Haneda Airport while soaking in the footbath?

Thanks to the footbath, even the kids were enjoying the warmth of the footbath!

You might want to bring a towel to wipe your feet, but they are sold in vending machines for 500 yen, so no problem even if you are in a hurry!

If you are coming by car, you are not allowed to take your dog in the hot water, but you are welcome to bring your pet dog as well.

This is what Innovation City looks like.

Recommended ways to have fun

Now that I’ve introduced the recommended elements!

Here is what we suggest you to do!

Why don’t you enjoy it?

1: Enjoy the front row of the first car of Tokyo Monorail from Hamamatsucho (in the evening)

2: Go to Terminal 3 and watch airplanes.

3: Have an early dinner at Tsurutontan

4: Move to the next Tenkubashi bridge, buy a coffee at Tully’s, and go to the footbath.

5: Enjoy the night view from the front seat of the last car of the Tokyo Monorail

Thank you for reading to the end!

To avoid reading fatigue, I will keep this blog relatively short!

We hope you enjoy reading our other articles as well.
